About the role

Enterprise Zscaler environments don't run themselves. Our confidential enterprise client is seeking a Senior Zscaler Engineer to design, defend, and keep a complex, multi‑platform security environment (ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler for Workloads, and ZDX) operating reliably. The role requires ownership of the environment at scale and the confidence to act independently from day one.

Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑end design, configuration, and administration of enterprise Zscaler environments across ZIA, ZPA, Workloads, and ZDX.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously optimise security, access, and traffic policies.
  • Implement disaster recovery for ZIA and ZPA, identifying failure points before they become problems.
  • Serve as the senior technical point of contact, translating complex issues into clear answers for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands‑on Zscaler engineering experience that is recent, active, and deep.
  • Strong, demonstrable work across ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler for Workloads, and ZDX.
  • Proven ZIA/ZPA disaster recovery experience and a current Zscaler certification.
  • Confidence troubleshooting complex enterprise networking and security issues independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to serve as a calm, credible voice with clients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to cover Eastern and Central US time zones.

Nice to have

  • Zscaler Digital Transformation Engineer certification.
  • Experience with Zscaler Branch Connectors.
  • Time spent inside large‑enterprise Zscaler deployments.
