Senior Zscaler Engineer

About the role

Enterprise Zscaler environments don't run themselves. They need someone who can design them, defend them, and keep them running when it matters most. Our confidential enterprise client is looking for a Senior Zscaler Engineer to take ownership of a complex, multi‑platform security environment (ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler for Workloads, and ZDX) and operate with the independence and confidence of someone who has done this at scale.

Responsibilities

• End‑to‑end design, configuration, and administration of enterprise Zscaler environments across ZIA, ZPA, Workloads, and ZDX.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously optimise security, access, and traffic policies.
• Implement disaster recovery for ZIA and ZPA, including identifying failure points before they become problems.
• Serve as the senior technical point of contact, translating complex issues into clear answers for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on Zscaler engineering experience, recent, active, and deep (not adjacent).
• Strong, demonstrable work across ZIA, ZPA, Zscaler for Workloads, and ZDX.
• Proven ZIA/ZPA disaster recovery experience and a current Zscaler certification.
• Confidence troubleshooting complex enterprise networking and security issues independently.
• Excellent communication skills to be the calm, credible voice with clients and colleagues.
• Flexibility to cover Eastern and Central US time zones.

Nice to have

• Zscaler Digital Transformation Engineer certification.
• Experience with Zscaler Branch Connectors.
• Time spent inside large‑enterprise Zscaler deployments.
