Senior Worldwide Specialist Solutions Architect, Containers
About the role
Join AWS's Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) as a Specialist Solutions Architect focused on container technology. You will partner with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Systems Integrators (SIs), acting as a trusted advisor to drive their success and help shape AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Container Service, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, AWS Fargate, and Amazon Elastic Container Registry. You will represent the voice of the customer to product teams, influence feature development, and collaborate with innovative customers to architect scalable, reliable, and secure workloads. This role involves strategic technical leadership to accelerate partner engagements worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Work with AWS Partners to define container components of best-in-class Go-To-Market (GTM) concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
- Design, implement, and deploy advanced containerized solutions architectures.
- Use data and customer anecdotes to provide feedback to product teams, influencing feature development and future product roadmaps.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge through container-aligned GTM teams to unblock customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
- Steward the deployment and operations of workloads on AWS using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), AWS Fargate, Kubernetes, or other container services.
About the Team
This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing business and technical expertise to help customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of key technology and consulting partners, delivering expertise and scale to build innovative solutions for complex challenges.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent, or 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Experience with AWS technologies.
The base salary range varies by location:
- USA, GA, Atlanta: $153,600 – $207,800 annually
- USA, NY, New York: $169,000 – $228,600 annually
- USA, TX, Austin: $153,600 – $207,800 annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $153,600 – $207,800 annually
- USA, VA, Herndon: $153,600 – $207,800 annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $153,600 – $207,800 annually
