Senior Workday Developer

About the role

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. This is a full-time, direct W2 position that is 100% remote (U.S.). The role requires 8+ years of experience and is open to U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates (the company does not sponsor new H-1B petitions). As a Senior Workday Developer, you will work with HR, finance, and IT stakeholders to configure, report, and extend the Workday platform, translating business requirements into clean, maintainable solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to best‑practice adoption.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex calculated fields, custom reports, and advanced reports using the Workday report writer
• Build composite reports, matrix reports, and dashboards supporting business decision‑making
• Configure and maintain business processes, condition rules, and approval routing across HCM and Finance
• Develop Workday Extend applications and PRISM analytics where appropriate, packaging custom logic in supported platform extensions rather than fragile customizations that complicate future upgrades
• Build report‑as‑a‑service integrations and support data export needs for downstream systems
• Configure security domains, role‑based security, and segment‑based security across complex tenants
• Partner with HR, payroll, and finance stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday configurations
• Develop and maintain documentation for business processes, calculated fields, and security models
• Support Workday tenant refreshes, regression testing cycles, and platform release adoption, validating configuration and reports against expected behavior before each move into production
