About the role

This role oversees deployment, configuration, and management of core ADC services, including directory services, file and print, DNS/DHCP, application servers and management of server/workstation hardware and infrastructure. This role will drive team initiatives across the Vector vertical and across Region Services and partner with Vector Security, Amazon Security, and other AWS internal business units.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, adapt and improve operations management systems and processes to accommodate rapid and increasing growth in systems and traffic
  • Drive expedient resolution and root cause analysis for critical issues affecting your services
  • Mentor and develop a team of Operational Engineers with an emphasis on providing dial tone services
  • Lead the development and delivery of state of the art system health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and other self-healing automation
  • Create automation tools and processes that reduce manual effort and increase overall efficiency
  • Innovate and drive improvements in monitoring and visualization of system health, status of maintenance tasks, and reporting systems

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
  • 7+ years supporting Windows family of operating systems to include four (4) of the following eight (8) core competencies: AD, DHCP, PowerShell, Email workflow, SCCM, GPO, Win OS, DNS, and disaster recovery/business continuity
  • 2+ years of Technical Lead experience, specifically within the Windows Domain
  • 3+ years' experience in automation / scripting in the Windows environment using PowerShell
  • Experience creating automation tasks such as, software packaging and deployment, automated security patching, and Operating System Deployment.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years supporting Windows family of operating systems

Skills

A successful Lead Tech Operations Engineer will drive the design and implementation of new services, find ways to improve and automate our existing services, and provide escalation and mentoring for junior team members.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
