Senior Wind Turbine Technician

Core Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, retrofitting, and maintenance of wind turbine generators and associated systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Cookordination daily tasks with crew members while working independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety standards.
• Complete work orders, service reports, and project documentation accurately.
• Support team development through communication, problem-solving, and cross-training initiatives.
• Travel to various project sites for extended assignments.
• Maintain organized tools, equipment, and workspaces.
• Ensure project deadlines and performance standards are consistently achieved.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum: 36 months of wind turbine technical/mechanical experience.
• 24 months of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in: Electrical systems, Mechanical systems, Hydraulic systems.
• Ability to: Work at heights up to 300 feet, Climb ladders and structures regularly, Lift and manipulate up to 100 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to pass drug screening and maintain compliance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditions.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and technical maintenance procedures.

• Wind industry certifications or specialized turbine training.
• Leadership experience mentoring or coordinating crews.
• Strong documentation and service reporting skills.
• Commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous technical improvement.
