About the role

Our Client is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain web based applications within a federal technology environment. This role will focus on building reliable software, translating user interface and user experience designs into functional applications, maintaining existing systems, and supporting future upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web based software applications.
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code using established software development practices.
  • Translate user interface and user experience designs and wireframes into functional web applications.
  • Develop software solutions based on user and business requirements.
  • Perform application maintenance and testing to ensure systems continue to function reliably.
  • Identify and recommend software upgrades for current and future systems.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Support application development and deployment within cloud based environments.
  • Maintain technical documentation covering applications, services, environments, maintenance, and future upgrades.
  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 8 or more years of relevant software or web application development experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within the past 6 years in at least one of the following areas:
    • AWS cloud based solutions
    • C#
    • Java
    • Python
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web based applications.
  • Experience translating user interface and user experience designs into functional software.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and maintainable coding standards.
  • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading existing applications.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical application documentation.

Schedule

  • Camera use is required during remote meetings.
  • Position supports a federal government program.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required.
