SABG is seeking a Senior Weapon System Acquisition staff member to support the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) in Arlington, VA.
About the role
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required. Location: Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates space vehicle design, ground control segments, launch capabilities, and integration with joint warfighting functions.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, reports, and summary papers; explain complex concepts in relatively simple language; summarize key decisions; and provide recommendations supported by analysis.
- Assist in answering Congressional Reporting Requirements and respond to Congressional Staffer action items regarding oversight of space S&T efforts.
- Provide coordinating support to other SAF/SQ Directorates and Divisions, particularly assistance in supporting Original Classification Authority actions on new technology.
- Perform other tasks closely associated with the duties listed above as coordinated with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Requirements
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 15–20 years of relevant work experience in DoD and/or DAF policy, strategy, military operations, national security activities, space operations, and/or space acquisition/integration.
- Ability to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments while maintaining high levels of performance and support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Pay
Salary range: $165,000 – $175,000. Compensation is determined based on the role’s requirements, education, certifications, skills, experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Final compensation is based on the specific qualifications and circumstances of each candidate.
