Senior Wealth Strategist
Responsibilities
- Partner with WMAs and Private Bank teams to acquire and retain key client relationships by delivering comprehensive wealth strategies and participating in client meetings.
- Develop a detailed understanding of client financial profiles, including net worth, cash flow, ownership structures, estate plans, and charitable goals.
- Lead the development of customized wealth strategies across estate, income tax, gift and estate tax, investment, risk, insurance, and cash flow planning disciplines.
- Identify planning opportunities, research complex strategies, and review financial modeling prepared by analysts to assess potential outcomes.
- Cook up and review of client deliverables and provide oversight and guidance to analysts and junior strategists, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with planning recommendations.
- Present recommendations, answer client and advisor questions, and support execution of strategies in partnership with the broader team.
- Coach and mentor Wealth Strategy Analysts and Wealth Strategists to support skill development and career growth.
- Build referral relationships with internal partners and external centers of influence such as attorneys and CPAs.
- Contribute to internal and external thought leadership and maintain knowledge of legislative, regulatory, and market developments.
- Operate within the Bank’s risk framework and ensure adherence to policies and procedures while acting in the best interests of clients and colleagues.
- Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to shifting priorities to support team and organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of experience in financial, estate, or wealth planning within a professional services or wealth management environment.
Skills
- Advanced degree of proficiency in wealth strategy expertise, client advisory skills, relationship management, analytical thinking, business development support.
- Professional Credentials: JD, CPA, CFP®, or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex financial scenarios into actionable client strategies.
- Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior talent.
- Influence & Communication: Ability to engage effectively with clients, advisors, and senior partners.
- Industry & Regulatory Awareness: Ongoing commitment to staying current with legislative and regulatory developments.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
