About the role

In this role, you will manage and service a moderately complex affluent and high-net-worth client relationship portfolio in lending, credit, and deposit products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify service improvement opportunities for affluent and high-net-worth client relationships, including participating in training and calibration exercises across the division.
  • Review and analyze client financial goals and changing needs, making recommendations to best fit the client’s requirements.
  • Develop and exercise expertise in changing market conditions and cascade best practices across the division.
  • Proactively coordinate with broader banking and internal teams (e.g., Financial Advisors) to ensure clients are in the correct banking product based on their financial activity.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve moderately complex issues, achieve goals, and build and maintain strong knowledge of internal policies and procedures. Escalate identified best practices for broader adoption.
  • Maintain effective risk management through routine education, sound risk and operational decision-making, and adherence to policies or procedures to independently resolve moderately complex issues.
  • Ensure client experience goals are met by participating in the creation and delivery of product and banking process training that aligns with business objectives and operational experience goals.

This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties that may include offering/negotiating terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling-secured transaction. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations is required. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of affluent banking, commercial banking, consumer banking, mortgage banking, or private banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • SAFE registration at the time of employment (Wells Fargo will initiate the process after your start date).
  • Compliance with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator (LO) positions, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness.
  • Adherence to specific compliance policies regarding outside activities and/or personal investing, if applicable.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Experience in Wealth Management, Retail, or Private Banking.
  • Experience working with affluent client relationship portfolios in lending, credit, cash, and deposit products and services.
  • Ability to develop and manage clients, business, and referral relationships.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing client financial goals and presenting recommendations.
  • Knowledge of how to interpret business formation documents.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Solid technical skills to learn and navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and search tools (e.g., SVP, CRM, Client Link, TMT, or DIPR).
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with relationship team members, client advisors, and other colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong working relationships across business channels and at all levels of management.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge and understanding of opening new consumer and business deposit accounts, account maintenance, processing, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Technical Exceptions (TE).
  • Ability to provide strong customer service while balancing the needs of clients, shareholders, and team members.
