Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Performs engineering analyses and evaluations (primarily computer-based) in support of the planning and design of civil works projects.
- Performs analysis and design of water distribution systems; water supply and treatment components; sanitary sewer systems and components; transmission, treatment and disposal systems; POTWs and other projects.
- Conducts assessment and evaluation of existing system conditions and develops recommended remedial measures.
- Maintains and documents written and verbal communications with clients throughout the development and completion of a project.
- Attends meetings on project management.
- Affords assistance in preparation of engineering studies and reports.
- Prepares project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software and tools.
- Affords assistance in preparation of contract documents and technical specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
- Minimum of Eight years of experience
- Experience designing water and/or wastewater treatment facilities
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and hydraulics
- Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Excel, or similar platforms
- Ability to develop engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Knowledge of applicable water and wastewater regulations and permitting requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
