Senior Engineer

Background & Purpose

Unilever is a global Fast-Moving Consumer Goods company with brands like Dove, Axe, Dove Men's + Care, and Vaseline. We create sustainable products to improve people's lives and the environment. This role focuses on developing packaging for the Skin Cleansing Category.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver primary and secondary packaging for innovation, renovation, sustainability, and cost savings initiatives.
• Manage multiple development projects and prioritize tasks based on timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brand, Planning, Formulation, Procurement, Quality, and external suppliers.
• Interface with Supply Chain for manufacturing scale-up, including line trials, production start-ups, cost savings, and improving line efficiency.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
• Lead packaging development deliverables, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver sustainable and creative packaging solutions.
• Create packaging that wins in the marketplace and brings a remarkable experience to the consumer.
• Champion sustainability in innovation development.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science or equivalent engineering experience, plus at least 5 years in packaging field, preferably in personal care products.
• Strong understanding of package development process and engineering principles, including global packaging experience.
• Ability to design and develop primary and secondary packaging components that meet consumer, brand, customer, and manufacturing objectives.
• Experience in project management to realize the order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities and maintain packaging commitments to project scheduling.
• General understanding of consumer, business, and category needs and the relationship to packaging decisions & execution.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay Range: $88,600 to $133,000
• Bonus Eligible
