Who are we looking for?
The Central US Water business is growing throughout Texas! We're looking for a Senior Project Manager with expertise in water and wastewater conveyance systems to lead complex infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, overseeing design and construction phases, and ensuring successful delivery of pipeline, pump station, and related conveyance projects.
- Work with a team to support client development and strategic growth of the business both locally and regionally.
- Build credible relationships with clients, teaming partners, and the community.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality control across all phases.
- Cookordination with clients, permitting agencies, contractors, and internal technical teams.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, design documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support permitting and environmental documentation processes.
- Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements.
- Participate in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers.
- Perform schedule reviews on construction projects and maintain/develop schedules for design and construction of assigned projects.
- Provide mentoring to engineering staff to support the team's technical skill development.
- Manage projects’ budget and schedule.
- Lead proposal development efforts for new business.
- Grow relationships with existing and prospective clients; this includes business development, sales and marketing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in environmental or civil engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to acquire upon six months of hiring date.
- 10+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects in the Central US region; preference to 10 years of experience in the Texas market.
- Significant experience in de-salination plants, water and wastewater treatment, conveyance and pump station.
- Significant experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, schedule and budget.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory/permitting agencies including TCEQ, and EPA.
