About the role
We are seeking a Wastewater Professional Engineer to join our Madison team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of municipal and private-sector projects, including wastewater treatment and water quality challenges.
Responsibilities
- Cook up the work of the wastewater design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
- Organize meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Manage workload to ensure the project document is completed on time
- Hold work sessions at the project site in collaboration with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Inspect process mechanical documents for conflicts with all disciplines
- Write and edit process mechanical specifications, choose equipment, treatment systems, and devices
- Collaborate with and assist other disciplines with addendums, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and ensure agreed-upon changes are incorporated into the project documents
- Assist with construction contract administration as needed
- Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) on the work of other Wastewater Process Mechanical Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, or CAD Technicians as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering field with 10+ years of experience with municipal or industrial wastewater treatment and treatment process design
- Experience working on municipal wastewater projects
- Experience working on food and beverage, manufacturing, life sciences, semiconductor, data center, or other industrial wastewater projects
- Experience working on large multidisciplinary wastewater projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field with a minimum of 10 years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
Qualifications
- Strong technical background and experience in designing water distribution systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and hydraulic modeling software
- Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary
