About the Location

Climax Molybdenum is the world’s leading producer of molybdenum and has a long, successful history of doing business safely, efficiently, and responsibly. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years, with mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling, and Empire. Our Climax Mine is located between Frisco and Leadville—the seat of Lake County and the highest incorporated city in the United States.

Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unload goods and materials, placing them into inventory.
  • Process reservations and issue materials to end users, including via walk-up requests.
  • Operate various heavy equipment, including forklifts (up to 36,000 lbs), pallet jacks, and carts.
  • Deliver materials to customers, capture proof of delivery signatures, and maintain records of delivered items.
  • Implement policies to maintain inventory in usable condition, including visual inspections, wrapping, and rotation of inventory.
  • Utilize site SOPs and product literature to assess equipment and products.
  • Update warehouse management systems (WMS) to maintain records of delivered items and remaining inventory.
  • Set customer expectations by communicating delivery times and possible delays.
  • Perform other duties as requested, including Warehouse Tech I duties.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of warehouse, inventory control, materials management, or related experience.
  • Proficiency in all Warehouse Technician I and II skills.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse inventory control systems and purchase orders.
  • Ability to problem-solve, perform reconciliations, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of purchasing rules, regulations, methods, and forms.
  • Expertise in operating light equipment, hand trucks, and vehicles within a warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in bar code usage.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional, can-do attitude.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in email and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications and materials management software.

Pay

The estimated pay range for this role is $24.50 - $33.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.

  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
