Senior Warehouse Technician
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm CT (40 hrs/week). The individual selected must reside within a 60-minute driving distance from the Delavan, Wisconsin warehouse located at: 120 S Wright St., Delavan, WI 53593.
Responsibilities
- Service
- Gather items or materials requested by customers for issue or assemble Bills of Materials (BOM) required for specific projects.
- Package orders, shipments, or BOMs to protect materials from damage during transit.
- Ship materials to vendors, repair facilities, or customers.
- Deliver customer orders or materials to various departments and locations.
- Test equipment for proper function and schedule repairs of damaged, broken, or defective equipment.
- Coordinate all repairs to CPE and warranty items.
- Inventory
- Safeguard and track inventory items to ensure accurate accountability.
- Identify and sort materials, mark, and label inventory items prior to storage or distribution.
- Store or put inventory items away in assigned storage locations.
- Ensure that all new CPE equipment is loaded correctly into the inventory management systems as required within 48 hours of receipt, including unpacking, labeling, and repacking before adding to inventory.
- Track and maintain inventory, including purchasing, receiving, stocking, and tracking regulated and non-regulated equipment and materials.
- Conduct cycle inventory counts and perform annual reconciliation as directed.
- Load and unload shipments.
- Receiving
- Take possession of products or materials to place them into inventory or distribute them for immediate use.
- Unload inbound shipments from delivery trucks, inspect shipments for any visible damage, perform material counts and coordination with packing slips, and document to verify item number, description and quantity, and/or damage to shipment.
- Document shipments and/or discrepancies and report findings to management.
- Tag and file documents indicating receipt.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment
- Operate and maintain department equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks and carts, weighing materials, stenciling equipment, barcode scanners, and computers.
- Perform operator inspections and maintenance as required by equipment manuals and/or company policies.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Assign or issue CPE to technicians for each work order.
- Work with technicians, coordinators, and contractors on local recoveries.
- Issue CPE and construction supplies and equipment with coordinated shipment.
- Record Keeping
- Maintain records, documentation, and files critical to business and financial operations, including filing, archiving, retrieving records, and disposing of files or records in compliance with company policies.
- Work with Finance to maintain accurate and appropriate inventory levels.
- Arrange for disposal or recycling of equipment.
- Safety & Security: Perform all actions in compliance with all organizational safety, housekeeping, and security policies (Federal OSHA, DOT, and Company Safety policies and regulations).
- Materials: Gather materials and assemble kits as well as weigh/count, label, and store kits.
Qualifications
- Required
- 3+ years' experience in warehousing or distribution center operations.
- 1+ years' using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- 1+ years' experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet lifters, and rigging equipment).
- 2+ years of experience using a Warehousing, Inventory, ERP Management Systems (Great Plains, SAP, Navision, MRP or similar) system.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance, and have access to reliable transportation.
- Other
- Must possess, or have the ability to gain, a Forklift Certification.
- Must possess, or have the ability to gain, a box truck certification.
- Ability to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
