Senior Virtual Machine Engineer

About the Role

Provide expert virtual machine and Linux support within an enterprise environment. Design and develop solutions for complex application problems and system administration issues. Perform day-to-day activities supporting VMware, Linux, and Windows systems, storage, and infrastructure. Conduct performance monitoring, troubleshooting, system testing, and OS upgrades. Collaborate on system audit reviews and maintenance to ensure system health and optimization. Deliver recommendations on best practices for storage and virtualization infrastructure, including cloud migration strategies.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a computer systems engineer/architect with a focus on virtual machines
• In-depth knowledge of VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vRealize) and Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
• Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Proven ability to design, architect, and develop solutions for complex system challenges
• Experience with server networking protocols, storage, and data management
• Must possess a Secret security clearance at the time of hire
