Senior Video Editor, MIT Open Learning Video

About the role

Engage in video editing to create educational video content for MIT Open Learning. Work as a senior member of the Open Learning Video team to produce educational videos, documentaries, promotional videos, and social media videos.

Responsibilities

• Perform creative and technical video editing for Open Learning video projects.
• Develop and execute graphic designs and styles, ensuring consistency across multiple videos and programs.
• Collaborate with the Open Learning Video team and internal stakeholders to develop and implement evolving educational video strategies.
• Stay current on the latest video technologies, software, and pedagogical approaches for educational video, including advancements in AI video.
• Participate in the MIT Open Learning community of video producers and media makers as a senior member.
• Organize and archive video assets as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience creating and delivering complex media-driven educational projects.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule requiring in-person work on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA a minimum of 2 days a week. Schedule is subject to change based on need.
