Senior Vice President, Technology Auditor, Application Technology
About the role
This role is located in Lake Mary, FL or New York City, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Execute annual auditable entity risk assessments.
- Define the annual audit plan.
- Set individual audit scope and testing.
- Oversee successful execution of audits, in line with audit department methodology and professional standards.
- Identify risk-based gaps in the firm’s technology systems and processes.
- Lead issue discussions with management and obtain appropriate remedial actions.
- Manage the performance and development of staff and the achievement of staff goals and objectives.
- Manage relationships with key technology staff to stay abreast of new developments or control breakdowns.
- Engage in relevant training regarding audit, businesses, financial controls, regulations, or a particular specialty and actively seek to apply this knowledge in the role and pass it on to the wider audit team.
- Prioritize project workflows.
- Investigate unexpected situations, provide thoughtful analysis and resolution.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in IT auditing or Cybersecurity.
- Proven experience in conducting IT Audits.
- Strong understanding of IT general controls, cybersecurity, cloud, data governance and resiliency principles.
- Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, and Information Systems management.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead a team and manage senior stakeholders across the firm.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $203,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
