Senior Vice President, Product Manager - Digital Assets
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead initiatives for BNY’s digital asset business. The candidate will take end-to-end ownership of bringing new products and services to market by defining product strategy, leading design, project planning, and execution efforts. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial market structure, blockchain-based technology, traditional financial services, and delivering products under an agile framework.
This role is located in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Help define the near and long-term product strategy through deep industry engagement, market analysis, and understanding emerging trends.
- Ensure product alignment with BNY’s mission and principles.
- Help shape industry best practices.
- Translate client needs into commercial product solutions.
- Craft product roadmap to ensure incremental and prompt product delivery.
- Understand the regulatory environment and product feasibility.
- Define target client segment and go-to-market strategy.
- Conduct competitive market research and analysis.
- Engage with cross-functional subject matter experts.
- Communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Adhere to product governance framework.
- Establish support model across the product lifecycle.
- Track product performance across operational, technical, and commercial indicators.
- Collect client and internal feedback for continuous product improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 7-10 years of relevant industry experience in digital assets, trading, custody, or financial services product management.
- Must exhibit flexibility and be able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment where new challenges arise and priorities shift.
- Must be detail-oriented, with experience writing functional and non-functional business requirements and/or user stories.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the digital asset landscape. Experience with blockchain and traditional settlement.

Pay
BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $104,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary, if hired, will be determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location. This is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
