About the Role
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales oversees the sales team, activities, and goals within a specified region. Responsible for developing and achieving the yearly business plan and budget, the SVP provides leadership to ensure positive and profitable relationships with customers, partners (A&D, real estate, GC), vendors, and subcontractors. This role manages the implementation of corporate processes and plans to drive regional growth and achieve financial, operational, and customer objectives while executing the company’s mission, vision, and value proposition.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and preparation of the region’s annual business plan and sales budget in conjunction with management; monitor progress against business objectives.
- Operate the team within established budgetary guidelines and manage assigned travel and expense budgets.
- Analyze monthly financial performance indicators and adjust strategies to ensure regional profitability.
- Conduct monthly site visits and business reviews with company executives to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Contribute to decisions on advertising, marketing, pricing, and other sales-related issues while staying informed of current selling trends.
- Drive market penetration, sales growth, and diversification, including new business development and strategic alliances.
- Ensure a consistent focus on high-quality customer service and provide guidance to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate industry, market, and technology trends to assess their impact on business opportunities and make recommendations.
- Act as a liaison for corporate programs, policies, and operating procedures.
- Participate in industry trade events and marketing initiatives.
- Lead the team to achieve goals, delegate tasks, support growth, and hold team members accountable for results.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly or indirectly supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, and mentoring staff.
- Conduct bi-weekly 1:1 meetings with all direct reports.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations (minimum bi-annually).
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 8-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding goals and building strong customer relationships.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible business experience, including full P&L responsibility and management of an operating business unit.
- Knowledge in financial analysis, human resources, business administration, legal and ethical practices, marketing, business development, and sales.
- Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business/financial data, and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong financial acumen to evaluate P&Ls and identify areas of concern.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic sales strategies.
- Excellent planning, organizing, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and executive presentation skills.
- Customer- and results-oriented with the ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to lead and be an effective team member.

Pay
$180,000 to $220,000 per year plus bonus.
