Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Business Unit President, leading, coaching, and developing business development personnel while driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives and revenue goals.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and growth initiatives, and drive market expansion and increase market share across target verticals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, establishing performance expectations, coaching plans, and professional development initiatives, and promoting accountability and adherence to established sales management disciplines.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic clients and industry partners, delivering executive-level presentations, and communicating effectively with decision-makers including college presidents, school superintendents and boards, city managers and mayors, and C-suite executives.
- Influence and support sales strategy across all sales phases including targeting, qualification, solution development, and contract negotiations.
- Maximize secured sales, profitability, revenue growth, and return on assets, manage sales budgets and allocate resources effectively, maintain accurate forecasting, business planning, and performance reporting, ensure proper CRM utilization and data management, and analyze sales metrics, market trends, and competitive positioning to drive strategic decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, engineering, and customer service teams, stay informed on emerging industry trends, technologies, and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
- Seven years of sales experience in the MUSH market or correlating experience.
- Three years of experience working in the building technology market.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven success in complex sales and customer relationship management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large territories and high-performing teams.
- Strong presentation and executive communication abilities.
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate actionable insights.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities and mentoring skills.
- High emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills.
