Responsibilities

  • Serve as a physician leader and speaker for Tempus’ Medical Affairs department
  • Help establish and build clinical relationships and health system partnerships
  • Oversee Tempus speaker programs
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists and PhDs to provide external facing communications and customer interactions for the company
  • Provide medical input into commercial strategies, disease-state speaker programs, and marketing materials to ensure scientific integrity
  • Provide medical oversight to elevate corporate documentation and marketing materials through the medical legal review process
  • Translate voice of customer and market insights to Tempus leadership

Requirements

  • MD degree with oncology clinical training (breast oncology preferred)
  • 10 years of clinical practice and experience required
  • Previous experience leading teams of medical professionals, physicians, communication specialists and commercial experts
  • Clinical research and study design experience
  • Experience defining a medical affairs strategy in a corporate setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills regarding the Tempus mission and strengths
  • Innovative thinking regarding building external partnerships with individual investigators, academic institutions, cooperative groups and non-profit organizations
  • A mindset for execution

Qualifications

  • Knowledge base in molecular diagnostics, precision oncology, health systems, clinical research, and use of large data sets/real world data and medical communications
