Overview
Prosek Partners is seeking a Senior Vice President or Managing Director to lead and grow its work with law firms and legal-sector clients. This senior leader will serve as a trusted advisor to firm leadership and practice heads, providing strategic communications counsel to strengthen reputation, advance business priorities, and elevate visibility. The ideal candidate brings deep experience advising law firms and legal organizations, along with expertise in adjacent sectors such as professional services, financial services, private markets, and corporate communications. Responsibilities include leading senior client engagements, developing integrated communications strategies, driving new business, expanding client relationships, and mentoring a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead integrated strategic communications programs for law firms, legal-sector organizations, and other professional or financial services clients.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managing partners, firm leadership, practice leaders, general counsel, and other senior executives.
- Develop and execute integrated communications strategies supporting firm reputation, practice growth, executive visibility, talent priorities, and broader business objectives.
- Lead thought leadership and executive positioning programs for attorneys and senior leaders across priority practices and industries.
- Oversee proactive media relations strategies, leveraging strong relationships with legal, business, financial, and trade media.
- Identify timely opportunities to connect client expertise to breaking news, industry trends, regulatory developments, and market activity.
- Manage and grow executive-level client relationships, ensuring consistently strong counsel, service, and account performance.
- Drive organic account growth and lead new business development efforts, including prospecting, proposal development, and pitch leadership.
- Partner across Prosek’s integrated capabilities to bring clients a coordinated approach spanning media relations, crisis and issues management, digital, content, creative, and executive communications.
- Mentor and develop team members, creating a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and high-performance environment.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Significant experience advising law firms, legal organizations, or legal-sector clients.
- Strong understanding of the business of law, including the priorities and communications needs of managing partners, practice leaders, and senior attorneys.
- Expertise spanning professional services, financial services, private markets, corporate communications, or another relevant sector.
- Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level counsel on reputation management, executive positioning, thought leadership, media relations, and complex issues.
- Established relationships with legal, business, financial, and trade media.
- Proven success managing and expanding client relationships and contributing to new business growth.
- Strong leadership skills and experience developing senior and junior talent.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the executive presence to counsel senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $175,000–$275,000. An employee's salary is determined by factors including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs. This range is one component of Prosek's total compensation package, which may also include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, new business commission, paid time off, and other benefits.
