About the role
The Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy & Marketing is a newly created senior executive role within the Windows & Doors Business Unit, designed to consolidate and elevate the commercial engine of the organization. This leader will be accountable for defining and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy with a portfolio of leading residential window brands and delivering an exceptional customer experience that drives above-market growth. The SVP will lead three core functional teams—Marketing (Channel Marketing & Sales Enablement), National Accounts & Business Development, and Sales Operations (including Customer Service, Field Service, and Warranty)—creating an integrated, high-performing commercial organization. As a senior executive, this individual will serve as a key member of the Windows & Doors Business Unit Leadership Team and will lead through both direct authority and cross-functional influence.
Responsibilities
- Marketing - Channel Strategy & Sales Enablement
- Lead the marketing function with emphasis on channel marketing & sales enablement across diverse customer types and geographic regions.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment between product strategy, channel execution, and commercial outcomes.
- Establish a market intelligence capability that monitors competitive activity, customer trends, channel dynamics, and emerging market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Oversee development of value-driving marketing programs that increase brand preference, generate demand, and support channel partners.
- Establish measurement frameworks to evaluate marketing ROI and continuously optimize program investment.
- Responsible for revenue-driving go-to-market strategies, including strategic account planning, promotions, partnerships, trade marketing, and market development fund investments to accelerate growth.
- Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through contractor programs, brand investments, loyalty initiatives, conversion strategies, and account-based marketing plans.
- Enable sales and partner success through targeted sales enablement, territory growth planning, and alignment with brand marketing to maximize commercial performance.
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Customer Value Proposition
- Develop, own, and continuously refine the business unit's go-to-market strategy, including segmentation, targeting, and channel mix.
- Define and articulate a compelling customer value proposition that differentiates the business in the marketplace and resonates across customer segments and regions.
- Drive above-market revenue growth by identifying and capturing new commercial opportunities, white space, and adjacent markets.
- Lead commercial transformation initiatives that improve sales effectiveness, customer acquisition, channel productivity, and organizational capability.
- Establish NPS and customer satisfaction as core operational metrics, embedding them into team cadences and strategic decision-making.
- Lead strategic planning cycles with a rigorous, data-driven approach that connects commercial initiatives to financial outcomes.
- Oversee the national accounts portfolio, ensuring disciplined account management, executive-level customer relationships, and consistent delivery against growth targets.
- Sales Operations, Customer Experience, Field Service & Warranty
- Provide strategic oversight of Sales Operations, including the customer experience, field service, and warranty functions, ensuring operational excellence and seamless customer experiences.
- Define and monitor service-level standards and KPIs that drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and eliminate operational friction across the customer journey, from initial inquiry through post-sale support and warranty fulfillment.
- Partner with supply chain, product, and finance functions to align service delivery capabilities with commercial commitments.
- Provide leadership oversight of the Quote & Order system (AccuQuote), ensuring it supports speed, accuracy, and a frictionless buying experience for customers.
- Leverage system capabilities and data to improve commercial team productivity and customer insight.
- Leadership, Team Building & Talent Development
- Build, develop, and inspire high-performing teams across all functional areas, establishing a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead through influence across functions not directly in the reporting structure (e.g., Product, Finance, Supply Chain, IT) to align the organization behind commercial priorities.
- Serve as an active member of the business unit senior leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide strategic priorities beyond the commercial function.
Requirements
- Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, sales, and/or commercial strategy roles, with a minimum of 5 years at the VP level or above.
- Demonstrated experience leading integrated commercial functions including sales, marketing, customer experience, business development and/or commercial operations within a building products or similarly complex B2B environment.
- Proven experience shaping business strategy and influencing P&L performance through commercial, pricing, channel, and customer growth initiatives.
- Proven track record of driving above-market revenue growth while simultaneously achieving high customer satisfaction scores (NPS or equivalent).
- Experience building and leading high-performing, multi-functional commercial organizations of significant scale.
- Extensive experience leading through influence in a matrixed organization across functions such as Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product.

- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
