Senior Vice President, Back-End Engineer
About the role
This role is located in Lake Mary, FL. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Responsibilities
- Consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services and technical support for backend features and components.
- Scale backend architecture and codebase to support organizational growth and evolving business needs.
- Provide comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staff, including evaluating compliance with technology standards.
- Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code; analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites; maintain software functionality and currency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 9-11 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Extensive experience in backend development in Java and multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
- Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and consulting experience with structured methodologies.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to support mentoring and teamwork.
Qualifications

Pay
The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting. Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
