Senior Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Set up test systems for hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Run tests and interpret results
• Flag issues as firmware, hardware, or spec-related
• Work closely with firmware, hardware, and systems engineering teams
• Build and execute hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environments
• Analyze system behavior and determine issue origins
• Design, configure, and maintain HIL test setups for electrical systems
• Execute validation and verification test plans
• Collect, analyze, and interpret electrical measurements
• Use laboratory test equipment to evaluate system performance
• Review engineering specifications and translate requirements
• Investigate unexpected system behavior and determine root causes
• Document test procedures, results, defects, and validation reports
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems engineers to resolve issues
• Support compliance and standards-based testing
• Auxiliary with automation of validation workflows using scripting tools

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
• Hands-on laboratory experience working with electrical systems
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, function generators, and data acquisition equipment
• Ability to interpret electrical measurements and troubleshoot system behavior
• Comfortable reading and understanding engineering specifications and technical documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
