Senior UX Writer and Content Designer, Search Discover

About the role

As a UX writer at Google, you will advocate for Google design, shaping product experiences by creating useful, meaningful text that helps users complete tasks. You will help set the vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, research, product, and engineering to explore and develop new AI features in Discover.
• Write and contribute to AI prompts; work closely with engineering to test and iterate.
• Craft UI text to educate and empower our users.
• Help the team identify new, compelling ways to deliver content from across the web.
• Create guidelines and principles that help shape the use of AI and how we deliver information to users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in UX writing, content design, technical writing, writing, editorial, marketing, or related fields, as well as leading content strategy projects.
• Experience on UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.

Preferred qualifications

• 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional technology organization.
• Experience leveraging expertise in UX principles to guide or challenge project direction and strategy.
• Experience with editorial writing for digital publications or blogs.
• Experience with AI prompting and evaluations.
• Knowledge of product analytics, with the ability to make data-informed writing decisions.

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
