Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to execute research studies.
• Proactively identify research opportunities and follow through the process from scope, execution, analysis, and delivery.
• Participate in all phases of the user research process, including user recruitment, study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Utilize various qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as usability testing, surveys, interviews, and competitive analysis, to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors.
• Analyze research data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights that drive informed design decisions.
• Communicate research findings to stakeholders clearly and compellingly through reports, presentations, and interactive workshops.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to advocate for user-centered design principles.
• Act as a strategic partner, providing valuable insights and recommendations throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Stay current with the latest research methodologies, tools, and industry trends.
• Continuously evaluate and improve research practices, ensuring the team has the right resources and techniques to deliver impactful results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with a Master's degree) in user experience research.
• 5+ years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and ethnographic research.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in research.
• Strong expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and ethnographic research.
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive user-centric design decisions.

Pay

Annual Salary: $109,675.00 - $172,200.00. The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final salary to be offered to the selected candidate.

Schedule

This position is a hybrid role that requires being on-site 2-3 days a week at one of the following locations: Bethesda, MD; Palo Alto, CA; Seattle, WA.
