About the Team
As a Quantitative Researcher on the Product Research team, you will partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to generate insights that shape the future of digital products and customer experiences. The team operates as a strategic research function, delivering data-driven insights that inform both product decisions and long-term business strategy.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead quantitative research initiatives from end to end, including survey design, programming, fieldwork management, analysis, and synthesis of findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full quantitative survey research lifecycle, including questionnaire development, survey programming, fielding, analysis, and reporting.
- Design and execute research studies that support product, customer experience, and business strategy decisions.
- Analyze survey and behavioral data using statistical methods such as significance testing, correlation analysis, regression modeling, factor analysis, and other quantitative techniques.
- Query and manipulate data from databases and data warehouses to enrich research findings.
- Translate complex research results into concise, compelling insights and recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
- Present findings and influence decision-making through clear storytelling and a customer-centered perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing the end-to-end survey research process, including design, programming, fielding, and statistical analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in quantitative research methodologies and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency with statistical software such as R, Python, SPSS, or similar tools.
- Experience with survey programming platforms such as Qualtrics, Alchemer, or equivalent.
- Strong SQL and database querying skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, visual, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Psychology, Sociology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Marketing, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting research for digital products, customer experience, or e-commerce platforms.
- Experience integrating survey, behavioral, and product usage data to drive business decisions.
- Advanced expertise in data processing, statistical modeling, and quantitative analysis.
Additional Information
- This position is intended to provide temporary support for the research team during a leave of absence.
- Preference for candidates located in the New York City area; however, remote, hybrid, and onsite work arrangements will be considered.
- Strong SQL, data processing, and statistical analysis capabilities are required.
- The engagement may be extended or converted to a longer-term opportunity based on business needs, budget availability, and performance.
- Interview process includes an initial hiring manager discussion followed by a technical assessment and case study with members of the research team.
