About the role

At Google, we focus on the user and all else will follow. Our Interaction Designers transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel.

  • Integrate AI capabilities thoughtfully to accelerate and elevate user decision-making, transforming complex local data into intuitive insights that help users confidently choose where to go and what to do.
  • Manage complex, ambiguous project spaces autonomously, mentor junior designers, drive design critiques with clear rationale, and help elevate the craft and culture of the core UX team.
  • Partner closely with the broader UX team (design, research, and content strategy) and cross-functional peers (Product Manager (PM), engineering, marketing, and datascience) to advocate user-centric solutions.
  • Translate user research insights, market trends, and data metrics into scalable design solutions that solve real user pain points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience prototyping digital products or user interfaces using industry-standard design tools.

  • Experience designing consumer-facing digital products.
  • Strong visual design skills and expertise in Component and System Design.
