Senior Ux Designer

As part of a highly collaborative UX team, you will help shape the future of ClinicalKey, Elsevier’s leading clinical decision support and medical search platform used by healthcare professionals, physicians, nurses, and medical students worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end UX design process for ClinicalKey, from discovery and concept development through delivery and optimization.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Researchers, and other stakeholders within an agile product squad.
- Create intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual experiences for responsive web, mobile, and hybrid applications.
- Design and optimize experiences related to AI-powered search, content discovery, workflow integration, and clinical reference tools.
- Ensure all experiences meet accessibility standards and support inclusive design best practices.
- Leverage and contribute to enterprise design systems to maintain consistency and scalability across products.
- Support research efforts, including usability testing, user interviews, feedback sessions, and synthesis of research findings.
- Use AI-powered design tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, content generation, and workflow efficiency.
- Present design concepts and recommendations with clear rationale based on user insights, data, and UX best practices.
- Collaborate across disciplines to build consensus and drive user-centered design decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, or Interaction Design for digital products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, visual design excellence, and complex problem-solving.
- Experience designing responsive web, mobile, and hybrid application experiences.
- Exceptional visual design skills, including typography, hierarchy, layout, and interaction design.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience creating accessible digital experiences.
- Experience building, maintaining, and working within design systems.
- Proven experience collaborating within agile, cross-functional teams.
- Experience conducting or supporting user research and usability testing activities.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled design workflows and tools.
- Ability to simplify complex systems and workflows into intuitive user experiences.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating elegant, user-focused solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical decision support systems and medical content.
- Experience with healthcare system integrations.
- Understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare professional needs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
- Expertise in user research methods.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
- Experience with AI and machine learning tools.
- Strong project management and collaboration skills.
Benefits
