Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal submissions within your assigned territory to ensure profitable growth.
  • Bring our brand to life by ensuring consistent and impactful communication of our products and services to retail and wholesale brokers.
  • Expand broker relationships, both by strengthening existing partnerships and intentionally cultivating new ones in key markets.
  • Represent Argo Group in client and broker meetings, demonstrating expertise and elevating customer experience.
  • Build and manage a strong submission pipeline aligned with production goals and business mix targets.
  • Leverage market insights, using your contacts to generate business, gather intelligence, and cross-sell complementary products.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Inland Marine policies (Transportation, Physical Damage, Cargo, Builders Risk), including product nuances, compliance, and risk management.
  • 3+ years of Inland Marine underwriting experience.
  • Proficient negotiation and insurance underwriting skills.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive within the ever-evolving market.
  • Sharp analytical skills to navigate financial statements and complex data.
  • Significant broker communication, networking, and relationship-building aptitude.
  • Dedicated focus on execution, accuracy, and follow-through with a sense of urgency.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management talents.

Pay

The typical base salary range is $115,000 - $150,000 (based on experience and location).

Schedule

This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
