About the role

AIG underwriting teams find insurance solutions in Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. We are transforming our operating model, reshaping role responsibilities, and unlocking the full potential of each colleague to empower growth as insurance professionals and add value to customers and AIG.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new business opportunities.
  • Handle up to 2 medium-sized Group Captive accounts.
  • Maintain clear and concise underwriting files and perform self-audits for other underwriters.
  • Communicate risk appetite and Captive Solutions Value Proposition to brokers.
  • Work with Associate Underwriter(s) to ensure booking and coding on accounts are completed.
  • Resolve account-related questions from internal peers and/or clients/brokers within scope; escalate to leadership as needed.
  • Participate in client (internal/external) conference calls.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Producers and Captive Intermediaries.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant professional experience; prior insurance experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated sales, marketing, and relationship-building experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to evolving requirements and collaborating across teams to deliver solutions.
  • Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude.

Pay

For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $105,000–$135,000. For positions based in Chicago, the base salary range is $100,000–$130,000. The position is also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
