Senior Underwriter, Commercial Surety
Position Overview
The Senior Underwriter, Commercial Surety will support underwriting and marketing strategy in an assigned region, responsible for regional production targets, disciplined underwriting, and productive distribution partner relationships.
Responsibilities
- Supports production and underwriting strategy within authority limits
- Absolutely approves, declines, and prices risks
- Aids in the development and execution of segment strategies to meet budgeted results
- Accurately documents underwriting information and adheres to documentation standards
- Leverages productive distribution partner relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience underwriting, analyzing, and servicing complex commercial surety accounts
- Proven track record of establishing and developing distribution partner relationships
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Works independently and efficiently
- Embraces and promotes a culture of collaboration and effectively manages change
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, solid business judgment, and a passion for providing outstanding solutions to business partners

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual cash bonus and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $120,000 - $145,000.
