About the role
The sonographer performs high-risk obstetric sonographic examinations, including Fetal Echo, and assists radiologists or perinatologists during invasive procedures. They assess patient conditions through clinical judgment based on medical records, physician input, interviews, and assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct specialized ultrasound exams relating to high-risk OB patients
- Assist during invasive procedures with medical professionals
- Evaluate patient data and make clinical judgments
- Maintain accurate documentation of findings
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program; board eligible or RDMS in OB/GYN
- National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience, including 1 year in high-risk OB settings
- Preferred: Bachelor's in Diagnostic Ultrasound and ARDMS registry in Adult and Fetal Echocardiography
