Senior Ultrasound Technologist
About the role
Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Assists the radiologist during invasive procedures. Performs abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants, as well as performing Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams.

Requirements
One additional certification i.e. Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchal translucency or the Neonatal specialty is required for sonographer 2 status.
Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Ultrasound training program
- Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography --or-- National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 2 years of experience as a sonographer
Skills
Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
