They are currently building an agentic workflow-orchestration platform, initially targeting vulnerability discovery workflows. The engineering team includes experienced TypeScript architects and subject-matter experts who prioritize client-driven development in a flexible, evolving project environment. About the Opportunity:The SENIOR TYPESCRIPT BACKEND ENGINEER role is centered on advancing the development of a workflow-orchestration platform. This position involves hands-on TypeScript development leadership, contributing to design and implementation within a dynamic setting where project scopes evolve. The role directly supports the engineering team in building scalable, composable backend systems that address complex orchestration and distributed systems challenges. Responsibilities:Lead TypeScript development with hands-on coding and technical guidanceCollaborate on the design and implementation of the workflow-orchestration platformEvaluate and recommend workflow engine and infrastructure solutionsDevelop composable, polyglot workflow steps within the orchestration framework Requirements:Proven experience as a tech lead or team lead in TypeScript backend developmentDirect experience with workflow/orchestration engines such as Temporal, Dapr, or AWS Step FunctionsStrong background in distributed systems including message queues/pub-sub (e.g., Kafka), event-driven architecture, and retry/idempotency patternsExperience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift focusing on deployment, scaling, and networkingEnterprise architecture skills to interpret design documents and adapt to shifting priorities Nice to have:Ability to evaluate infrastructure platforms and advise on build-versus-buy decisionsExperience in regulated or financial environments with governance and audit considerationsFamiliarity with integrating LLM/AI agents into workflow platforms Pay Range and Compensation Package:The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
