About the role

The Senior Treasury Liquidity Manager develops and executes complex liquidity strategies and/or structures for balance sheet management purposes. This role contributes to the continuous improvement of all processes, models, and related infrastructure. Provides technical expertise, direction, and is a subject matter expert on the team. Develops liquidity methodology and assumptions, processes frameworks and/or systems to support Liquidity Risk.

Recognized as a top-level expert within the company, this role requires significant in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas. The Senior Treasury Liquidity Manager serves as a senior specialist providing advisory services to executives, business segment leaders, and governs the requirements for their own work.

This role integrates knowledge of the enterprise function’s or business segment’s overarching strategy in leading program design, policy formulation, or operating standards within one or more areas of expertise. The position anticipates emerging business trends and regulatory/risk issues as a basis for recommending large-scale product, technical, functional, or operations improvements. The Senior Treasury Liquidity Manager serves as a source of expert advice to senior management in their field of specialty and leads teams of related specialists/experts.

This role advises on execution strategy and leads the development and deployment of functional programs or initiatives within their own field or across multiple specialties. The Senior Treasury Liquidity Manager solves unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact, typically overseeing standards, controls, and operating methods that have significant financial and operational impact within the context of their own field. Innovative thinking is required to develop new solutions.

The role impacts the technical or functional direction and resource allocation of part of an enterprise function or business segment and works within general policies and industry guidelines. The Senior Treasury Liquidity Manager engages stakeholders to take action, serves as a source of expert advice, influences change, and frames information in a broader organizational context. They provide leadership guidance, make recommendations, and collaborate with the business to ensure solutions meet complex project or program needs.

The role identifies and leads problem resolution for project/program complex requirements and related issues at all levels.

Responsibilities

Customer Accountabilities

  • Develops and maintains financial methodologies, strategies, and processes that generate risk measurement information used in Liquidity Risk Management.
  • Acts as a subject matter specialist who understands the movement of various components of the balance sheet and can visualize the impacts of changes in regulation, processes, data, and systems.
  • Responsible for developing Liquidity risk management strategies and assimilating relevant political and economic factors affecting the viability of the firm.
  • Responsible for the optimum composition of the Liquidity portfolio.
  • Leads interaction with internal and external partners to gain cooperation and provide expertise where required.
  • Supports ongoing reviews with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line functions.

  • Conducts reporting and/or meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and assess the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices.
  • Acquires and applies expertise in the discipline, providing guidance, assistance, and direction to others.
  • Adheres to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts.
  • Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.

Pay

$124,280 - $186,160 USD
