About the role

The Senior Treasury Analyst supports critical cash management functions, bank account administration, SOX and internal controls, and letters of credit/bank guarantees. This position involves working closely with banks and internal business partners (including accounts payable, cash operations, payroll, legal, and tax), as well as considerable Treasury project-related work including data analytics and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

The role is part of a small Princess brand-centric Treasury team and entails working in a fast-paced, high-volume treasury operations environment. Responsibilities include processing Treasury wires across various banking platforms using multi-currency payment types, daily cash positioning, short and medium-term cash forecasting with variance analysis, and oversight of bank account administration across multiple countries, currencies, and legal entities. This includes opening and closing accounts, updating bank resolutions and authorized signers, and maintaining accurate bank account records.

In addition to day-to-day treasury operations, the role involves SOX and compliance deliverables, Treasury projects, and process improvement initiatives. The incumbent will also manage cash forecasting and cash management for all ships within the Princess fleet, coordinating with banks and armored car courier vendors globally.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze assigned regional and currency forecasts and cash position worksheets to recommend cash liquidity management decisions.
  • Provide backup to Treasury Analyst functions as needed.
  • Initiate money market trades and FX trades to buy/sell currencies; liaise with counterparties on settlement issues.
  • Coordinate PCL Treasury bank account administration, including opening/closing accounts, signer updates, service changes, and compliance reporting.
  • Review Treasury wire payments prepared by Treasury Analysts, ensuring supporting documents are compliant before approval and release.
  • Troubleshoot complex wire payments and other banking issues.
  • Support the vessel cash funding process, overseeing staff and liaising with ship officers, banks, and cash courier vendors; develop management analytics and drive automation enhancements.
  • Support Treasury process improvement projects related to strategic business changes and provide regular project status updates.
  • Assist the manager with the preparation and coordination of annual Treasury compliance reviews for submission to Corporate Treasury.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • CTP certification desirable.
  • Minimum 5+ years of finance experience in corporate treasury, preferably with multinational experience.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experience and/or understanding of FX trading and/or settlements.
  • Proficiency in wire creation and reporting in online banking portals.
  • Knowledge of treasury SOX controls and bank KYC requirements.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formatting, formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills

Scope: Supports global treasury operations handling multiple currencies, legal entities, banking partners, and vessel operations across the Princess fleet. Accountable for cash positioning, liquidity management, cash forecasting, bank account administration, foreign exchange transactions, and treasury payment processes. Supports SOX compliance, internal controls, bank guarantees, letters of credit, and annual treasury compliance reviews. Engages in strategic treasury initiatives through data analytics, automation, process improvement, and treasury transformation projects. Coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, Legal, Cash Operations, Corporate Treasury, banking institutions, and armored courier vendors worldwide.

Problem Solving: Analyzes regional and currency cash forecasts to optimize liquidity management decisions and minimize funding risk. Resolves complex treasury payment, wire transfer, settlement, and banking-related issues across multiple platforms and jurisdictions. Identifies forecasting variances and develops actionable recommendations to improve cash visibility and accuracy. Evaluates and implements process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhanced treasury controls.

Impact: Ensures timely execution of treasury payments and vessel cash funding, supporting uninterrupted global business and shipboard operations. Protects organizational assets through strong bank account controls, SOX compliance, and treasury governance practices. Improves operational efficiency and decision-making through analytics, automation, and process optimization. Works with the Manager to reduce financial, operational, and compliance risk through effective oversight of banking relationships, payment controls, and treasury processes.

Leadership: Provides functional oversight and guidance to Treasury Analysts and vessel cash funding staff while serving as a senior subject matter expert. Supports cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external banking partners to drive treasury objectives and resolve issues. Champions continuous improvement initiatives, influencing process enhancements and automation strategies. Takes ownership of treasury compliance reviews, project reporting, and governance activities, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.

This position is classified as “remote,” allowing full-time work from home, with potential regular travel to Princess headquarters.
