Senior Transportation (Traffic) Planner/ Engineer

Responsibilities

• Business development, win work, and identify future opportunities
• Manage client relationships

• Prepare proposals and responses to RFPs/RFQs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering or Planning, or related field
• 10+ years of increasingly responsible professional experience
• Professional Engineer license or transportation-focused certification (e.g., PTP, PTOE, RSP)
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Experience with local, state, and federal guidelines/standards, policies, and procedures
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO/SimTraffic, VISSIM, CADD, GIS software
• Knowledge of emerging and best practices
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel by airplane and car, including overnight travel
• Critical thinking and strong communication skills (written, visual, and interpersonal)
• Efficient, thorough, detail-oriented, and dedicated to quality work
• Ability to establish, manage, maintain and grow client relationships
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment across numerous disciplines

Pay

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
