About the role

DCCM is seeking a Senior Transportation / Roadway Engineer to support the design and delivery of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects in our Southern California (Los Angeles area) office.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on roadway and transportation design for local agency and state-funded projects
  • Prepare roadway design plans, profiles, grading, and cross-sections consistent with municipal standards and Caltrans design criteria
  • Support project delivery from preliminary engineering through final design and construction support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work with public agencies
  • Experience with complete streets, corridor improvements, and coordination with public agencies is desirable
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills working with public agencies and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
  • Approximately 15+ years of relevant civil engineering experience (flexible depending on qualifications)
  • Strong proficiency with Civil 3D CADD
  • Experience preparing roadway design plans, profiles, grading plans, and cross-sections
  • Experience working on municipal or state transportation infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with Caltrans design standards and municipal roadway design criteria
  • Experience with complete streets or corridor improvement projects preferred
