About the role
DCCM is seeking a Senior Transportation / Roadway Engineer to support the design and delivery of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects in our Southern California (Los Angeles area) office.
Responsibilities
- Focus on roadway and transportation design for local agency and state-funded projects
- Prepare roadway design plans, profiles, grading, and cross-sections consistent with municipal standards and Caltrans design criteria
- Support project delivery from preliminary engineering through final design and construction support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work with public agencies
- Experience with complete streets, corridor improvements, and coordination with public agencies is desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication skills working with public agencies and multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Approximately 15+ years of relevant civil engineering experience (flexible depending on qualifications)
- Strong proficiency with Civil 3D CADD
- Experience preparing roadway design plans, profiles, grading plans, and cross-sections
- Experience working on municipal or state transportation infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with Caltrans design standards and municipal roadway design criteria
- Experience with complete streets or corridor improvement projects preferred
Qualifications
