Senior Transportation / Roadway Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NCSalary: $145K - $165K DescriptionThis is a technical leadership opportunity for a PE with strong NCDOT roadway design experience who can lead roadway design and plan production, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers and designers. ResponsibilitiesLead roadway design and plan development for transportation projectsDevelop and review roadway alignments, profiles, cross sections, and 3D corridor modelsLead and support NCDOT plan production, including quantity calculationsCoordinate roadway design with MOT/traffic control, drainage, pavement marking, and signing disciplinesProvide technical oversight and quality review of plans and design deliverablesMentor and supervise junior engineers and design staffCoordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary design teamsAssist with project schedules, budgets, technical scopes, and other project management responsibilitiesCommunicate with clients and agency representatives throughout project delivery QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline8+ years of roadway/transportation design experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredStrong experience with NCDOT roadway design and plan productionExperience developing and working with roadway corridor modelsProficiency with MicroStation and GEOPAKExperience with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) preferredExperience with MOT, drainage, pavement marking plans (PMP), and signing is a plus *All applicants must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship of any type now or in the future
