About the role
We'll count on you to:
- Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)
- Responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving multiple project staff
- Prioritize, pursue and coordinate several projects concurrently
- Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual commitments, design standards and lead production meetings
- Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff, reviewing agencies and project sponsors/stakeholders
- Cookstaff and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of quality deliverables while managing critical path schedule
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to validate that work is completed within the parameters of agreed-upon budget and schedule
- Actively lead and implement QA/QC procedures to validate work is completed accurately and neatly
- Supervise project staff and act as a mentor for less-experienced Project Managers, Engineers, or Engineers in Training
- Periodic check in with staff and technical contributors to confirm deliverables are meeting schedule commitments
- Other duties as needed including but not limited to supervisory efforts of direct reports

Requirements
- 10 years related civil design and management experience
- Project management experience of active design projects involving roadway and railway elements
- Clear written and oral communication with delivery team in a multi-disciplinary team
- Familiarity with various CAD / GIS / design calculation software to effectively lead team members in production of engineering concepts, capital cost determinations, and design level drawings
- Ability to lead proposal development and client focused pursuits for specific projects related to CEQA/NEPA to achieve environmental clearance all the way through final design and construction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10 years related experience
- A minimum 5 years project management experience
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management experience of active design projects involving roadway and railway elements
- Clear written and oral communication with delivery team in a multi-disciplinary team
- Familiarity with various CAD / GIS / design calculation software to effectively lead team members in production of engineering concepts, capital cost determinations, and design level drawings
- Ability to lead proposal development and client focused pursuits for specific projects related to CEQA/NEPA to achieve environmental clearance all the way through final design and construction
