Responsibilities
Collaborate with the executive team to outline and execute the firm's transportation plan, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission.
Develop comprehensive strategies for advancing transportation projects and services.
Establish and foster strong relationships with local agencies, both existing clients and potential target clients, to understand their transportation project needs and secure new opportunities.
Serve as a liaison between clients, our organization, and regulatory bodies like the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to advance transportation projects.
Oversee the execution of transportation projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks.
Recruit, mentor, and develop the transportation design team.
Maintain financial oversight by monitoring project budgets, resources, and financial performance to ensure successful and profitable project completion.
Facilitate clear and effective communication between clients, project teams, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
Establish a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on Fehr Graham core values.
Stay updated on transportation engineering technology trends and advancements.
Attend meetings, community, and industry events.
Communicate industry trends to the team and share knowledge.
Maintain client confidentiality of all project work.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation engineering.
Proven leadership skills and experience in managing and growing a team.
Strong client engagement and relationship-building abilities.
Experience with transportation project management and execution.
Knowledge of transportation engineering technology trends and advancements.
Ability to work collaboratively with the executive team and other departments.

Qualifications
