Responsibilities
Collaborate with the executive team to outline and execute the firm's transportation plan, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission.
Develop comprehensive strategies for advancing transportation projects and services.
Lead client engagement and relationship building by establishing and fostering strong relationships with local agencies, both existing clients and potential target clients, to understand their transportation project needs and secure new opportunities.
Serve as a liaison between clients, our organization, and regulatory bodies like the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to advance simple and complex transportation projects.
Oversee the execution of transportation projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks.
Recruit, mentor, and develop the transportation design team.
Monitor project budgets, resources, and financial performance to ensure the successful and profitable completion of transportation projects.
Facilitate clear and effective communication between clients, project teams, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
Establish a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on Fehr Graham core values.
Stay updated on transportation engineering technology trends and advancements.
Attend meetings, community, and industry events.
Communicate industry trends to the team and foster knowledge sharing.
Maintain client confidentiality of all project work.

Qualifications
Proven track record in transportation engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in client engagement and relationship building.
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of transportation engineering technology trends and advancements.
