About the role

The Senior Transmission Line Engineer will supervise teams, prepare engineering deliverables, and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects. This role requires extensive experience in transmission lines and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise groups of professionals and non-professionals in the Power sector to execute both large and small projects.
  • Prepare and/or review engineering deliverables for transmission lines.
  • Prepare and/or review material lists, construction details, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Prepare and/or review procurement activities and deliverables.
  • Document and track project tasks and related design documents.
  • Perform constructability reviews of design packages.
  • Monitor and maintain the project schedule and budgets within your area of responsibility.
  • Provide design clarifications and solutions during construction.
  • Complete any required inspections as necessary for procurement of material.
  • Report project status on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of transmission lines with operating voltages not less than 115kV.
  • Consulting engineering experience is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and transmission line design software (PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole).
  • Knowledge of PLS-Tower, SAGSEC, and CAISSON is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the United States is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Ability to sit or stand as required and remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, including continuous operation of a computer and other standard office equipment.
  • Periodic travel may be required and could involve limited exposure to extreme temperatures.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000.
