About the Role
Responsible for developing and implementing training programs to educate staff on customer service, compliance, banking procedures, and product knowledge. Designs training materials, conducts sessions, assesses training needs, and evaluates program effectiveness. Provides ongoing support and guidance to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively within the credit union.
Responsibilities
- Train staff on operational policies and procedures relating to on-boarding, core skills, technical/system, and sales and service.
- Review job descriptions and training checklists with new employees to ensure comprehensive training before release for normal duties.
- Advise AVP of Training on completion of each training session, including pre/post assessments and training summaries.
- Communicate, recommend, and follow up with supervisors regarding employee status (strengths and areas for improvement) at the end of the training period.
- Perform operational or regulatory training as directed and recommend additional training when needed.
- Conduct branch visits to review policies and procedures with managers and staff, observe daily operations, and identify training needs.
- Stay updated on financial compliance rules, regulations, and industry trends in training.
- Conduct training sessions at outside branches when necessary.
- Assist with on-the-job training and mentoring of staff.
- Represent Rally Credit Union culture professionally, including personal appearance and presentation manner.
- Deliver training using various modalities (classroom, webinars, virtual training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops) for all organizational levels.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute training materials, including procedure manuals.
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions on services, products, procedures, and materials as directed.
- Provide input to enhance and improve procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory changes.
- Support and mentor trainers as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Relationships and Contacts
Reports to the AVP of Training. Frequent contact with employees, managers, and operations staff.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or 64 hours of course credit, or equivalent experience.
- Three years’ experience assessing and meeting member needs, with two of those years at a financial institution.
- Two years of coaching and/or training staff.
- Teller/member service experience preferred.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Physical Requirements
- Involves wrist/hand manipulation and frequent viewing of a computer monitor.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- May require standing for extended periods.
- Required to speak to groups for part or full days.
- Close vision for frequent computer and document review.
- Clear speech and hearing for effective staff/member interaction.
- Must be able to drive a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
- Mobility required for branch training.
- Periodic work before/after hours and on Saturdays.
