Senior Trading Platform / Integration Engineer

About the role

A start-up backed by a well-known trading firm is building a new modern electronic trading platform that integrates with institutional broker technology, real-time market data, and secure trading infrastructure. As a Senior Trading Platform / Integration Engineer, you will join the engineering team to help shape this greenfield project. The role focuses on evolving the trade platform, enhancing trading capabilities, improving architecture, and delivering new features as the platform scales. This is an individual-contributor position within a small, startup-like team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core backend services supporting the trade platform
• Lead secure integration of third-party trading, brokerage, and authentication systems
• Review and harden externally developed code before production deployment
• Develop integrations with trading APIs, OMS, and market data providers
• Build scalable real-time services
• Enhance authentication and identity management
• Improve scalability, observability, and production readiness

Requirements

• Experience with integrating APIs
• Expertise with high-speed data streaming
• Experience with equity and options trading (big plus)
• Experience with brokerage APIs, trading APIs, OMS/EMS, or market data (big plus)
