About the role

As a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist within Customs and Trade, you will support customs compliance and trade operations through accurate execution of customs transactions, research, and reporting. This role ensures timely and compliant import activities, contributes to audit readiness, and upholds our compliance program to maintain our brand's admired status. You will ensure international trade compliance with both the letter and spirit of regulations, support process improvements for data accuracy and operational efficiency, and provide recommendations to enhance efficacy, design, and implementation. Your work will inform leaders managing complex trade decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As a key member of our trade team, you will support transactional operations such as classification, broker management, exceptions, valuation, and entry declarations. Critical tasks include maintaining electronic data, researching regulations, performing duty analysis, and managing special projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on regulations, risks, and best practices
• Perform duty impact assessments and support mitigation strategies
• Assist with the development of process improvements
• Maintain data and record-keeping systems, reporting, and accuracy
• Support documentation management tasks such as versioning, revisions, and storage
• Assist with audit support, including invoice reviews, entry declaration audits, and file reviews
• Support daily operational exception management (e.g., broker requests, missing documents) to ensure smooth customs clearances
• Maintain KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting
• Assist with reviewing and documenting business processes using standard process mapping and flow-charting tools

Requirements

• 1-4 years of customs trade compliance industry, transportation, logistics, customs broker, or customs agency experience
• 2 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
• Working knowledge of U.S. import regulations and customs procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• US Customs Broker License or equivalent in another country (or future license candidate) preferred
